Catching up with Covid-related links

Some news items and analysis you might not have seen:
  • Contrary to what you might have heard, that there have been "recent increased hospitalization rates" in children, those rates have, by the CDC's own data, decreased by 61% since April (and were very low to begin with). "A smaller subset of states reported on hospitalizations and mortality by age; the available data indicate that COVID-19-associated hospitalization and death is uncommon in children. At this time, it still appears that severe illness due to COVID-19 is rare among children."
  • Is the Second Shot Giving Young Men a Dangerous Heart Condition? and before you say "that's anecdotal" or "correlation does not prove causation," let's just remember that the shot is experimental and thus the effects by definition will be anecdotal until studied. That's how studies come about: someone observes effects and then studies them. Shockingly, the jabs are handed out willy-nilly. (I read one news report months ago that mentioned a specialized freezer breaking down and nurses going out on the streets to find people to give the shot to before it expired!) There is clearly very little follow-up, nor is there screening done beforehand.
