Covid-related action items that I wanted to put in one place. I may update if other statements become available. If you have something to share, please let me know, either in the comments or by emailing me at LMLDblog@gmail.com.
These links might be informative and/or useful; even if you don't agree with me, you might, as a fair-minded person, want to understand where those who are resistant to the mainstream narrative are coming from:
- A detailed and thorough explanation of why the measures imposed in the Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, MI, are inappropriate, from a spiritual and liturgical point of view. Rather than or in addition to signing it, consider talking to friends and sending something similar to your own bishop if it is applicable.
- Can you be required to take the Covid vaccine? No, because it is classified as experimental, among other things. Legal information.
- A statement about the morality of vaccines, embedded in this informative article by Stacy Trasancos. Please sign to safeguard the conscience of your neighbor.
Wow, Leila, what a letter! I mean the one from Grand Rapids. It brings up particulars I hadn't thought of, like being veiled. Every Catholic should print it and send it to their bishop. xo
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteThe petition is incredible. I will pass it along. Mary O. Daly, recently deceased, God rest her soul, wrote a good bit about the damage and danger of covering our faces on her little quiet blog. She wrote some very beautiful reflections leading up to her death in November. She wrote at megonfire.wordpress.com. I always loved her Culture of Life videos. I hope it's ok that I link that.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Josie, for the link.
DeleteI will be reading portions of this petition to our priest, and I may forward it to our bishop as well.
ReplyDeleteLeila, you have really improved my week by posting this link. I was starting to feel as though I must be mistaken in thinking masks and permanent social distancing were bad for Christians, because my husband and I are really the only ones in our parish who think they are, and we've been treated very badly for it. We're not allowed to attend Mass in the church anymore, because we won't wear masks. It's hard to swim upstream if you think you're alone. Thanks for the reinforcements!
You're welcome!
DeleteI’m from Grand Rapids, and we are incredibly blessed to have a number of Faithful spear-heading this cause. Thank you for sharing this w/ your readership!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great letter. My husband shared it as well on his site!
